Nine-year-old United fan Jamie Thomas was in the stands at Molineux last Sunday when he tried to block Rooney’s splitting strike during the warm-up before United’s 5-0 Barclays Premier League win. He was sat in the front row of the Jack Harris Stand with his Dad but missed most of the match as he was attended to by first aiders before being taken to hospital.
